Carbon, texas dove season opener white wings and mourning dove collard dove and pidgins

Action-packed day from the get-go! Zach and I headed out for some fall hunting in Carbon, Texas, starting bright and early at 6:30 AM. Clear conditions throughout the day made for perfect hunting weather. We had our sights set on a productive hunt with Shotz Fired Guide Service for our 1 Day Guided Hunting Adventure.

With our gear rigged and ready, we worked the property using spot-and-stalk and still hunting techniques. Zach managed to bag some dove during our active hunting session. The Texas terrain was just right for our approach - plenty of cover for still hunting and open areas where we could spot birds from a distance.

I reckon the drive hunting method really paid off in the later hours. The clear skies kept the birds moving, and we had ourselves a big ol' successful day. Texas hunting grounds like these are perfect for the techniques we used, and y'all couldn't ask for better conditions.
